About 14,480 new cases of invasive cervical cancer will be diagnosed, with 4,290 women dying from cervical cancer every year. Cervical cancer used to be one of the leading causes of cancer death in women, but this has changed significantly over the past 40 years.
“Cannabis sativa extracts and cannabidiol induce apoptosis in cervical cancer cells. Flow cytometry revealed a significant increase in SiHa cells undergoing apoptosis during treatment with butanol (from 2 to 28.5 %) and hexane (from 2 to 17.2 %) as compared to camptothecin with 30.4 %” This means that full-spectrum CBD oils and extracts may help treat cervical cancer and induce cancerous cells to kill themselves, and can potentially boost the efficacy of chemotherapy.
